For the new construction of warehouses for various logistics companies in the Hamburg area, investigations of the building ground with foundation assessment as well as reviews of the contaminated site situation with regard to possible additional disposal costs due to contaminated soils are necessary.
As a rule, the areas are already developed with commercial properties, so that the plans include the demolition of the existing building and the new construction of a logistics property.
General scope of services in the field of subsoil / geotechnics:
- Small ram boreholes (KRB) into the native soil,
- Heavy dynamic penetration tests (DPH) down to at least the native soil to determine the bearing density or
- Pressure sounding (CPT) to determine the bearing density of cohesive soft layers in the subsoil,
- Expansion of small pile-driven boreholes to temporary groundwater measuring points and groundwater sampling to estimate the concrete and steel aggressiveness as well as possible groundwater contamination,
- Taking soil samples for soil mechanical laboratory testing (determination of soil characteristics such as water content, grain size, consistency determination and determination of the suitability of the soil for construction and determination of the infiltration capacity),
- Taking soil samples in the area of backfills to determine the general soil condition in relation to possible contamination, investigation according to LAGA TR Boden 2004,
- Measurement of the survey points according to location and height,
- Evaluation (technical and economic) of foundation types/depths,
- Prognosis of the settlements to be expected in the construction area,
- Presentation and evaluation of the investigation results in a geotechnical report.
