On 12 July 2023, the EU Parliament voted in favour of the Nature Restoration Law, thus setting an important milestone in European nature conservation. This law obliges all EU member states to restore destroyed nature to a good ecological condition and thus to secure the existence of pollinators, natural resources, clean air and clean water.
This law helps biodiversity by creating more space for nature and combats the climate crisis by protecting and reclaiming peatlands and forests as carbon sinks. It protects people from natural disasters such as droughts and floods by creating more space for nature and also benefits people's health.
We think : All around a good law for nature !
The goal of #GoBlueNow is to combat climate change. Resource-conserving management is a component of our consulting, such as large-scale renaturation measures and biodiversity concepts in the #M&PGroup.
