Danger from pollutants in groundwater: M&P Umwelttechnik protects drinking water
Engineering for a better tomorrow: In the past, soil and groundwater contamination often occurred at long-used industrial sites due to improper handling of operating materials and ignorance of their hazards. Frequently occurring pollutants are CFCs (volatile chlorinated hydrocarbons).
M&P Umwelttechnik provides comprehensive support for the remediation of such groundwater damage. Polluted water is extracted from the damage centre and purified in a plant constructed by M&P Umwelttechnik. The operation of safety wells prevents the spread of pollutants via the natural groundwater flow.
Through control and maintenance appointments, MuP employees ensure that the plant technology functions around the clock. M&P Umwelttechnik continuously evaluates the data obtained and ensures that the remediation measure is functioning according to plan. In this way, changes in the situation are recognised at an early stage and responded to accordingly.
The use of the site for industry is not affected, and the entire remediation infrastructure is integrated into the ongoing operations of the site operator.
