Remediation of asbestos-containing wall plaster: Planning and monitoring by MuP Umwelttechnik

Engineering for a better tomorrow: As a result of the extensive destruction of German cities at the end of the Second World War and the reconstruction since the 1950s, there was a great need for inexpensive building materials. As a result, an estimated 4.4 million tonnes of asbestos were used in Germany between 1950 and 1985 alone.

Due to its harmful properties, the use of asbestos has been banned since 1993 and 1994. Nevertheless, according to current estimates, plasters, fillers and tile adhesives containing asbestos are found in 20-30% of all buildings in Germany. In light of the fact that these cannot be identified as such without expert sampling and laboratory testing, the national asbestos dialogue took place between 2016 and 2020. This dialogue will now result in a series of revisions and adjustments to current laws and regulations.

MuP Umwelttechnik GmbH Heidelberg examines and evaluates PSF containing asbestos, plans and monitors remediation measures, supports and advises on conversion, demolition and remediation measures on buildings. Always within the framework of legal standards and regulations, in accordance with the current state of the art and with our customers' interests in mind.
