M&P West works on further decommissioned coal-fired power plant sites
As part of the energy transition, Germany will switch its energy supply to renewable energies in the coming years.
The phase-out of both nuclear and coal energy means that the power plants will gradually be dismantled and land can be made available for other uses.
M&P is now heavily involved in the investigation of pollutants, the development of deconstruction concepts and deconstruction supervision. In order to be able to guarantee a smooth tendering of the deconstruction and the later implementation, an extensive research of construction files is always advisable in advance. In addition, detailed knowledge of the structure of the boiler houses (heating/auxiliary boilers, etc.) is indispensable, especially for the pollutant investigation, due to the asbestos products that were mostly used.
Our experts have been able to build up detailed and differentiated knowledge in this area over the past years, which we make available to the market. Due to the diverse experience gained from accompanying the dismantling of power plants, our team of specialists is therefore able to carry out the pollutant investigations as well as all other engineering services for dismantling with a high level of expertise.
Currently, our company is involved in the investigation and dismantling supervision of several power plant sites. Due to the positive experience with our company, we have already received new enquiries for the investigation of pollutants and the design of dismantling projects.
