Extension of the Ahlten primary school: M&P employee and assessor Martin Brinkkötter gives "green light"
Martin Brinkkötter presented the results of a building fabric survey of the Ahlten primary school at a public meeting of the Ahlten local council on 18.06.2020.
The report was primarily intended to summarise individual preliminary findings on existing building pollutants and to supplement topics that had not yet been considered. In addition, it should clarify the question of whether the planned extension can be directly connected to the old building without having to fear relevant contamination by pollutants. In addition to remediation recommendations for a few products, such as individual building expansion joints with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) that had not yet been removed, the material and indoor air results were presented to the public. In a subsequent round of questions, concerns about user hazards could also be discussed and denied.
Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft welcomes the very open way of dealing with such sensitive issues. Mr Brinkkötter is also already looking forward to further tasks of redevelopment planning and redevelopment support together with the responsible building management of the city of Lehrte.
