Social commitment of M&P Ingenieurgesellschaft in the "Housing First" project
Mull & Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH is involved in the "Housing First" project of the "Ein Zuhause" foundation with geotechnical and consulting services. In the course of the realisation of the project, Mull & Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH carried out soil investigations on the property and prepared a foundation report at cost price.
Furthermore, we support the necessary earthworks as well as the explosive ordnance investigation measures on the property with additional consulting services.
In December 2018, the administration, in accordance with a mandate from the Council, presented a concept for "low-threshold housing for homeless people" in cooperation with the Hannover Region and independent providers. With the foundation "Ein Zuhause", there is now a partner with whom a corresponding housing project can be realised according to the principle of "Housing First", initially as a pilot project.
The foundation plans to build a new building for the project under the motto "Live and then..." with 15 one- and two-room flats, some of which are wheelchair accessible, with common housekeeping and workshop rooms on a municipal property in Karl-Imhoff-Weg. The flats will be rented to homeless people. Individual support services are offered aggressively, but are not obligatory. A socio-educational specialist is available in the house as a contact person. Discussions are currently being held with experts from the administration about the contractual regulations for the allocation of the property, which are to be decided by the council bodies. The city provides support with aspects of care and its financing, for example with the Hanover region as the responsible body for social welfare.
