Due to their embedment depth in the subsoil, deep foundation measures such as the construction of underground garages can have an impact on local groundwater conditions. These influences must be assessed in advance by an expert.
In general, numerical groundwater flow models are a suitable tool for geohydraulic calculations of various problems.
Most recently, this approach was applied in a joint project with Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH (Cologne location) in Ingolstadt. The construction of an underground car park is planned there. The possible associated influence on the groundwater flow conditions was to be investigated by IBGW GmbH using a model. With the help of the simplified model approach, an influence on the groundwater flow conditions could be further excluded.
IBGW GmbH has been working on such issues for more than 30 years and is able to investigate and evaluate even more complex issues with our in-house programme system PCGEOFIM.
