Sampling at a height of 45 m:

The decommissioned chimney of the boiler house of the Hauptfeldwebel-Lagenstein-Kaserne (former Emmich-Cambrai-Kaserne, recently renamed) is to be dismantled in 2019.

In advance, the pollutant load of the building materials used (concrete, ceramics, mineral insulation materials) as well as ash and soot deposits had to be examined.

For sampling, M&P employees created core drillings through the chimney. Since the composition of the soot deposits changes with the height of the flue, sampling at a height of approx. 45 m was also necessary. This took place on a lifting platform. Subsequently, M&P took care of the preparation of the deconstruction and disposal concept, the further planning services (design / approval / implementation planning), the preparation of the contract award and deconstruction supervision.
