New Berlin Branch Manager - Roberto Quaas
Roberto Quaas is a civil engineer and geotechnical engineer with a passion. After specialising in the fields of "special civil engineering, urban hydrology, foundation engineering and soil mechanics / geotechnics" at the HTWK in Leipzig, he completed his studies in 2001 with a thesis on "stability studies in the context of the reconstruction and renovation of the Fichtelberg ski jump in Oberwiesenthal".
Since graduating almost 20 years ago, he has held various positions in the international engineering group Fugro. As a project engineer, he gained initial experience in the Leipzig region and eastern Germany with the multidisciplinary application of subsoil, contaminated site and hydrogeological exploration and assessment in the sectors of old mining, traffic route construction, industrial and plant construction as well as brownfield and neighbourhood development including the dismantling of industrial plants.
The stations in his home country were followed by numerous assignments as project manager for interdisciplinary offshore and onshore site investigations for national and international energy, infrastructure, old mining and construction projects. Subsequently, he took over functions in the superordinate structure of Fugro with a focus on bidding as well as market and project development in Europe, Africa and the Caspian region.
In the past three years, he has been in charge of business development (Business Development Manager) with an increased focus on Berlin, Eastern and Northern Germany. An integral part of his work is regular, active participation in professional conferences, promoting and supporting academic teaching and supervising bachelor's and master's theses.
After almost 20 years in an international engineering group, Roberto Quaas joined the management of Mull und Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH on 01.10.2020 and heads the Berlin office.
