Space control measurements at the Hamburg, Hanover and Osnabrück sites

InDesign Post square Template 8

Our specialist group for building pollutants was able to expand its range of services at the Hamburg, Hanover and Osnabrück sites to include various indoor air control measurements.

Fibre dust measurements (artificial mineral fibres, asbestos fibres) can quickly provide clarity about possible hazards or about the success of asbestos removal. For this purpose, the expert colleagues were trained by internal and external instructors in the special topics of VDI 3492 (measurement of inorganic fibrous particles) and DIN EN ISO 16000-1 (sampling strategy for indoor air contamination) and given theoretical and practical instruction.

In the meantime, 8 company-owned measuring devices are available for the measurements, which can be supplemented for large series at any time via laboratory loan devices. The devices are now also regularly used for measurements of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and other indoor pollutants (in the required measurement and flow rate range of 0.2 l/min. to 35 l/min.).

The measured indoor air values thus complete all areas of work of the specialist group, from the detection of building pollutants with risk assessment, to the planning of occupational health and safety measures for remediation, to the success monitoring of pollutant remediation and deconstruction measures, important guideline and limit values can be quickly and easily compared at any time. Particularly for the tasks as technical site management for pollutant remediation, beneficial synergies result from the expansion of services to include our own indoor air control measurements, for which we previously had to use and coordinate mostly subcontractors.
