Introduction of new employees:
Lars Hansen in Hamburg
We are pleased to introduce our new colleague Lars Hansen. Lars has been supporting our team in Hamburg as a project manager for a few weeks now.
Lars completed his Bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences (specialisation: hydrogeology) at the Freie Universität in Berlin. Before starting his Master's degree, he went to Mexico for three months to work as an intern at the CICESE research institute. A highlight was the 3-week excursion in the south of Mexico to investigate geothermal activities. Back in Germany, Lars completed another internship at IGB Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH (Berlin location) in the field of geotechnics.
For his Master's degree, Lars went to RWTH Aachen University, where he completed his degree in Applied Geosciences (Hydrogeology/Engineering Geology/Geophysics). In his Master's thesis, he used 3D-GeoModeller to develop a 3D model of a study area near Rüthen (NRW) to gain a better understanding of the subsurface and groundwater conditions. In addition to his master's degree, he worked as a geotechnical assistant at GEOSERVICE Soltenborn GmbH. For subsoil and contaminated site investigations, Lars carried out pile driving and pile core probing, soil gas sampling and surveying.
Most recently, Lars worked as a project manager in the area of contaminated sites and subsurface contamination, deconstruction concepts and disposal management for GeoConsult Hamburg GbR in Hamburg.
